1 whole Pineapple The core can be left in ,the core has the most Bromelain
Half Coconut Here I have used the Coconut water and half of the Coconut meat
8 Leaves Kale (Black) Also called Cavolo nero, wash the leaves before juicing
6 Carrot Peel, top and tail the Carrots before juicing

Pineapple

One of the reasons we love Pineapple is that it’s sweet taste can mask the strong vegetable taste of Kale that some juice drinkers may not like but aside from taste it’s packed with vitamin C, manganese, copper and folate! Not only that, if you juice the core of the pineapple that’s where you’ll find the highest concentrations of the fantastic healing enzyme Bromelain.

Coconut

Next we move on to Coconut. Anyone who knows the work we have been doing over the last few years knows why we are avid fans of the humble Coconut. Not only do they taste divine, they’re great for brain health, protect against the risk of stroke, they they’re low GI and can even help you lose weight.

Kale

Kale, including the variety we have used here (Cavolo nero) has long been a favourite food of those who know about optimum health. The health benefits of eating Kale are many including, reducing the risk of cancer, reduction of DNA damage, suppression of tumour cell growth and it’s also among the most anti oxidant foods on the face of the Earth.

Carrot

The humble Carrot, great for eye health, packed with Vitamins and mineral and one of the cheapest and easiest foods to prepare and juice that you’re ever likely to find. These fabulous roots should be one of the cornerstones of your juicing diet.

So it’s packed with beneficial vitamins, minerals, nutrients and enzymes, can ward of illness, disease and you might even lose weight in the process. We think it’s one of the best juices you could ever wish to drink

Prepare the Pineapple

Take the Pineapple, remove the ends with a sharp knife and stand it on it's end, from this position you can cut down the side of the pineapple to remove the outer skin.

Cut the fruit in half down the centre and cube the Pineapple so that the cubes are small enough to fit into your juicer

Wash the Kale Leaves

Take out a colander and place your Kale leaves inside.

Using luke warm water, gently wash your Kale to remove anything that shouldn't be present

Leave to drain

Remove the meat from the Coconut

Cut the Coconut meat into chunks prior to juicing

Prepare the Carrots

Peel the Carrots with a Potato peeler

Remove the ends of the Carrots

Start Juicing

First add a Carrot

Alternate the Pineapple so that it is pushed through the juicer by the other produce

Something like this, Carott, Pineapple, Kale, Pineapple, Coconut, Pineapple

This will ensure the Pineapple doesn't block the juice screen

This recipe makes around 1 litre of juice so you can either share it with friends or cut down the recipe ingredients and enjoy it on your own!

I made this beautiful juice on Saturday and it was delicious!

You can add a cup of protein powder to it if you like (I did) and it was very drinkable
